Corporate Volunteering

Corporate volunteering is a wonderful way of producing a win win situation for both companies and charities in one fell swoop.

It gives community groups the chance to tackle large, resource intensive projects with keen manpower.

And it gives company employees the chance to not only get out of the office for a day and have fun - but return with a sense of achievement and camarderie which no raft-building or paint-balling will give you.

We can help your company find the right charity and project for your employees saving lots of time and energy. Our knowledge of the community groups and needs in our area gives us a unique insight. We can help liaise, co-ordinate and manage the day.

GE Capital has been a huge advocate for corporate volunteering in Three Rivers. In the last year Three Rivers Volunteer Centre has organised volunteering days for them with a number of local charities including Chiltern Open Air Museum , Chorleywood Arts Centre, Rickmansworth Waterways Trust, WRAP, SW Herts Narrowboat Trust & School-Aid (pictured below and left).

At the Chiltern Open Air Museum they were painting buildings and putting up fencing. At the Watford and Rickmansworth Sea Cadets the site was prepared for building work. At the Apsley Paper Trail volunteers worked on a nature trail and at WRAP two containers were emptied, sorted and reassembled with new shelving.

"In these challenging economic times it is increasingly vital that businesses embrace Corporate Social Responsibility. In this regard. it is clear that businesses can enhance their business proposition through partnering with the voluntary sector"
