26 Sep 2006 - Voluntary Sector Forum

Voluntary Sector Groups from Three Rivers emphasised the need for more involvement at an earlier stage with the development of a Local Area Agreement in the county when they met the County Council's Liaision Officer at a meeting of the Voluntary Sector Forum.

The meeting at Watersmeet gave groups the opportunity to put across their views at an early stage of the LAA's development.

Those attending were able to emphasise the need for a clearer vision of how the agreement was to work - particularly with regard to funding for organisations at an earlier stage in the process than appeared proposed by the County Council.
