15 Aug 2006 - Three Valleys Water donate £300 to Three Rivers Community Gardening Project
Three Rivers Community Gardening Project has received a welcome boost from local water company Three Valleys Water.The site in Prestwick Road, South Oxhey has had no access to running water for some years but now with negotiation and support from Three Valleys a water connection complete with a lockable tap have been installed.
With recent drought conditions well in mind the project also boasts a water butt connected to guttering on the shed to ensure that as much water as possible is used carefully - before resorting to the tap.
Rob King, Customer Services Technician of Three Valleys Water, said: "We are pleased to be able to make a difference to the local community by supporting initiatives like the gardening project."
