17 Nov 2005 - Successful students receive their Gardening Support Training certificates
Gardeners working with groups in the care sector were able to update their knowledge and pick up new ideas from a month long course organised by the Three Rivers Community Gardening Project.
The successful group were presented with certificates by course tutors Sue Taylor and Daniella Izera.
Explaining the need for the course, Sue said: "I found that there are a lot of people with enthusiasm working with groups but they didn't necessarily have teaching skills or know enough about plants. The course has given them the boost to make sure that their groups keep going."
Some comments from the course attendees:
"Towards the end of each day my head was bursting!"
"Excellent content throughout the weeks"
The course has proved so popular that there are plans to run another one in Spring.
