3 Nov 2005 - Accounting for Action
Accounting for Action
Launched across three districts this new project aims to improve the financial understanding and skills of member organisations - be they large or small.
The launch session began with a training needs analysis which will be used to inform the future contents of the programme.
Broadly, workshop topics will cover:
* Basics general running of an organisation
* Budgeting
* Cashflow
* Cost allocation
* SORP
* Manual book-keeping and accounts
Accounting for Action will also provide one-to-one advice sessions for a limited number of organisations; this service will depend upon workshop attendance.
We have secured the services of Stevenage CVS's Community Accountant for this project.

Initial feedback from the launch was very positive and those attending are looking forward to learning more over the coming weeks.
It is still not to late to attend other sessions; please ring for details.
Dates for the first two training workshops are confirmed and are listed in the Calendar; the venue for the Three Rivers sessions are the Baptist Church Hall in both cases.
You are welcome to attend any session in any district but please telephone to book in advance as we anticipate that this will be a popular training project.
