16 Oct 2008 - Emergency Life Saving
This four hour practical course, delivered by the British Red Cross, providing the opportunity to learn key life saving skills including resuscitation and dealing with unconscious people.
All learners will be taught how to lift the chin to open the airways, give effective rescue breaths and perform chest compressions.
All learners will be given the opportunity to practice their skills on a resuscitation mannekin. Participants will learn to deal with choking for adults. You will gain awareness of dealing with shock and significant blood loss.
Students will receive a credit card sized certificate which is valid for three years.
All student will receive a booklet and dressing.
Times: 10am - 2.30pm
Venue: Mill End Community Centre, Mill End, Rickmansworth

Cost: £30 CVS members in Three Rivers and Watford. FREE LUNCH
£40 voluntary and community groups that are not members of CVS in Three Rivers and Watford. FREE LUNCH

The small print
In the event of a cancellation made within 5 working days of a course or non-attendance on the day, whatever the reason, your payment is non-refundable. In addition, an administration charge of £25.00 will be made to the organisation / individual. This applies to FREE and charged courses.
Your confirmation of booking and all details relating to the training will be contained in the course information, which will be sent to you 10 days before the course date.
We reserve the right to modify the programme. We reserve the right to cancel a course that has fewer than 10 delegates. You will not be charged for a cancelled course and any payment will be refunded.
